Selfies May Be Detrimental To Your Relationship

Selfies may not be good for your relationships.

According to a study in Telematics and Informatics, “selfie related conflicts” are on the rise. Researchers tracked the social media use of hundreds of adults for two years, and how it affected their relationships.

The study found two findings:

Jealousy levels increased with the number of selfies posted online and the quality of the relationship was negatively affected by these posts.

The more selfies someone posts, the more likely they’re trying to create an idealized persona.

So the question remains – will people post less selfies in order to save their relationship?
