Man Allegedly Kills His Wife for Laughing at Him

A wedding anniversary turns to murder when a husband loses control.

Kenneth Manzanares was detained on a cruise ship off the coast of Alaska for allegedly killing his wife – because she was laughing at him.

While police documents only refer to the 39-year-old victim as KM, it is widely believed to be Manzanares’ wife, Kristy Manzanares.

According to an FBI affidavit, a security officer aboard the Princess cruise ship detained Manzanares after finding blood on his hands and clothing.

It continued, “KM had a severe head wound and blood was spread throughout the room on multiple surfaces.”

When a witness asked Kenneth what had happened to his wife, Manzanares allegedly replied quote, “She would not stop laughing at me.”

He also allegedly said, “My life is over,” as FBI agents searched the cabin.

The couple and their three daughters boarded the ship last Sunday for a seven-day cruise up the Alaskan coast. It was a special vacation to celebrate their 18th wedding anniversary.

Other passengers, who were, ironically, participating in a murder mystery dinner,  were confused when they heard announcements by the ship’s staff calling medical and security personnel to Manzanares’ stateroom.

Unfortunately, what actually ended up happening was all too real. On Thursday, Manzanares appeared in court and was charged with Kristy’s murder.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Kristy’s family.
