Scott Peterson speaks from behind bars 15 years after being convicted for killing his wife and unborn child.

A&E is revisiting the sordid story in a six-part docuseries, The Murder of Laci Peterson and in the show, Scott Peterson maintains his innocence from death row at San Quentin State Prison in California. The series also features interviews with Laci and Scott Peterson’s families, Scott’s mistress, neighbors, law enforcement, lawyers Mark Geragos and Gloria Allred and Nancy Grace.

On December 24th, 2002,  Peterson’s 26-year-old pregnant wife, Laci Peterson went missing from their home in Modesto, CA. She was eight months pregnant with their first son named Connor. He claims she went off to walk the dog as he left to go fishing.

Peterson immediately became the primary suspect with police and in the public eye because of his lack of emotions over the disappearance of his unborn son and wife.

It wasn’t until April of 2003 when the bodies of Laci and an infant washed ashore the Berkeley Marina where Scott said he went fishing. He was arrested in San Diego soon after.

On November 12, 2004, Peterson was found guilty by a jury of first-degree murder of Laci Peterson and second-degree murder of Connor Peterson. He has filed two appeals but both have been turned down because of the overwhelming evidence.
