New Study Finds The Best Ways To Get Over A Breakup

Have you ever been dumped?  Anyone who has knows that the post-breakup feeling can really eat away at the psyche of any human being but how are we supposed to combat these feelings of rejection and sadness?

According to Time Health, a new study has revealed that there are three main strategies that could potentially aid in overcoming the low-feelings of a breakup.

The Three Strategies Are:

  1. Reappraise the ex-This strategy involves reevaluating everything about one’s former partner and highlight the negative traits of that individual.
  2. Love appraisal-Asks for the individual to observe their feelings of love toward their ex as perfectly normal and encourages them not to fight these feelings.
  3. Distraction-This strategy involves using activities, events, foods, etc. to distract from thinking about a former relationship.

In this day and age, with social media’s presence being ever so abundant in our lives, it is extremely easy to stumble upon a picture of an ex-partner on any given platform.  That makes it all the more important to find ways to cope with the pain of losing one’s significant other.
