Chance The Rapper Pops Question To Girlfriend On Fourth Of July

Chance the Rapper Engaged

Chance the Rapper put on quite the show for the 4th of July.

Chance the Rapper used America’s birthday to propose to his girlfriend and mother to his daughter, Kirsten Corley.  On Wednesday, he knelt down and asked his long-time girlfriend for her hand in marriage in front of friends and family at a backyard 4th of July party.

A shirtless Chancelor Jonathan Bennett aka Chance the Rapper popped the question with an endearing proposal. “Kirsten Katrina Corley, will you make me a man and be my wife?,” he proclaimed while down on one knee. Corley is clearly shocked by the proposal. The rapper later confirmed the engagement on his Twitter page.

Together since 2013, the couple had their share of troubles. They separated 8-months after the birth of their daughter, Kensli Bennett in 2016. That year, Corley filed court documents establishing paternity and asking the court for full custody with child support from the singer, according to the Chicago Tribune.

In January 2017, she withdrew the filing when they reconciled. Now they are headed to the altar. Congratulations to them.
