Facebook Gets Into The Dating Game
Facebook wants in on the dating app business.
Facebook is looking to launch a dating service for singles, but they are not looking to rival Tinder. Instead Facebook will focus on relationships versus just hookups.
According to Digital Trends, Facebook users in the future can create their own dating page on the platform which is accessible through their profile page. Facebook will suggest other singles based on their information such as location, interests and other data provided, but there will be other ways to find new matches. You will be able to find matches through private groups and events that are strictly for singles.
You’ll be able to share messages, but no images can be shared until you make a connection with that person and allow it. Good luck not getting “dic pics.”
Facebook won’t be testing until late 2018, so expect news of this change in early 2019.
