Nicki Minaj Says Ex Safaree Wasn’t Supportive Of Her Music Career
Earlier this week, Nicki Minaj aired out her ex’s dirty laundry on Twitter, and now she’s claiming her ex didn’t have faith in her music career.
Nicki Minaj and her ex Safaree Samuels were hate tweeting each other after the rapper dissed her former long-time boyfriend during an interview with Funk Flex on Hot 97. The couple broke up five years ago, yet someone is still holding a grudge. She complained he used her credit card for hookers, and she dropped $10k for his hairline.
On her third episode of her Queen Radio show for Beats 1, she added more fuel to the fire by revealing Safaree wasn’t supportive of her music career early on. They dated for 10 years until their breakup in 2014, but early in their relationship he wasn’t the supportive partner.
“If anything he should just be thanking God that he has an opportunity to make money and make a way for himself. You wouldn’t have had this opportunity had I not push my pen. And he told me to stop trying to rap. He told me that I was living in a fantasy world and it would never happen. Him, his mother and his sister called me a lazy bitch because I was pursuing my rap career,” she added.
She threw more shade stating he refused to work when they were struggling to make ends meet. They had to rely on her booking shows. Now he owes her for putting him on the map, she exclaimed.
She also denied the stabbing allegations made by Safaree on Twitter.
Remember the night you cut me and i almost died the police and ambulance had to take me out the crib on a stretcher and I had to lie and tell them I was trying to kill myself so they wouldn’t take you to jail. When things like that start happening more Than once it’s time to dip.

Nearly five years after their split, should Nicki let bygones be bygones?.
